Circuses and silent auctions

May 31, 2014

We're proud to donate an "Elois the Elephant" decal to support a silent auction to raise funds for one of our local French public schools.

Of course we were happy to do our part. But then they asked us for our publicity materials. Our what? We hadn't got quite that far....

...But that's what deadlines are for. And after a quick consultation with our ever good-humoured publicist, we had one. It went like this:

Toronto,  May 30, 2014 – New home-decor company AniZet Designs launches two distinct lines of circus-themed wall art to add a sense of wonder and fun to any room in the house.

The circus seemed like a natural starting point for AniZet Designs, says Marc Reppin, vice-president, digital. “Most grown-ups remember going to the circus when they were kids and now bring their own children there's a certain magic to the spectacle that you just don't forget. Then there's the colour, the variety and the mystery, and we try to capture that.”

Adds Christine Tatilon, designer and creative director: “What better way to start a new adventure than with the fun and cheerful atmosphere of a circus parade!”

Vintage Vibe

For circus lovers young and old, AniZet Designs’ vintage-style fine-art animal prints are a charming and sophisticated way to add drama to any living space.  The six giclée digital prints measure 11” x 14”  / 27.9 cm x 35.6 cm and are available on fine art rag paper (US $95 each) or stretched canvas (US $145 each).

We began with prints, which made sense to us because Christine's original illustrations were so richly textured,” says Reppin. “But then we thought, how can we make them more interactive?” Enter the decals.

Cut and Create

The wall decal line features the same six circus animals but rendered in a more colourful and playful style for a child’s bedroom or playroom. While the peel-and-stick decals can be positioned on walls as is, they can also be cut to separate the trim to form frames or borders. “We strive to create products that are unusual and one-of-a kind,” says Tatilon. “With multiple characters, trim sets, troupes and even a big top, children can mix and match and craft their own circus scenes.” Decals are non-toxic, bio-degradable, and repositionable. Circus animals and big top measure 20” x 16” / 50.8 cm x 40.6cm (US $45 each); circus troupes are 36” x 24” / 91 cm x 61 cm (US $65 each).

Shop and Ship

Prints and decals can be ordered online at AniZet.com or at our Facebook shop. Shipping is free in Canada and the contiguous United States for orders of two or more decals, or one print.
